SendMeYourIP was born out of a need to know my parent's home IP address so I could allow-list their home network within my SMTP relay server.

Existing IP address lookup services required my parent's to know what an IP address looked like and what part of the page to copy and paste to me. I couldn't find one that let me share a link with them that would allow them to share their IP address with me.

I wanted to create a simple service that would allow my parent's to share their IP address with me in a way that was easy to use and understand. They just click a link that I share and press a button.
